A couple of things to note about WR School Year:
There are limited opportunities for School-Year programs.
Applications are by invite only. A referral code from a partner organization is required to apply.
Given our current realities during the COVID-19 pandemic, WorkReady School-Year has been redesigned.
All participants will have the opportunity to earn incentives or wages either in-person or digitally. Each partner organization will be operating individual programs on a rolling basis. We will continue to monitor local, state and government orders and recommendations to determine the best options for all program experiences.
WORKREADY SCHOOL-YEAR PARTNER ORGANIZATIONS WILL PROVIDE TWO POSSIBLE TYPES OF EXPERIENCES FOR YOUTH TO EXPLORE
Depending on program design, Young people will receive hourly wages or incentive payments* connected to completing milestones or tasks digitally.
Participants may have...
Digital Career Exposure
This experience is offered online and require completion of digital tasks and activities to earn incentives.
*max incentive is $595 for WorkReady 2020
In-Person or virtual Internships
This experience offers a professional work environment that facilitates deep exposure to chose career and accelerates skill development. These experiences pay hourly wages and depend on local guidance and worksite availability.
